Mr Luo's Makeover

80 year-old Mr. Luo lives in the little village of Chong Qing city in China. Wildly enough, he hasn’t washed or cut his hair or beard for more than 26 years.

His hair grew to 2 meters long and his beard was 1.5 meters. For the first time in 26 years, he decided to give himself a new look for a local animal sports event.

All the townspeople lined up to give him a hand. After many failed attempts using regular shampoo, they spent a total of 5 hours and 3 packs of laundry detergent to wash him clean.

In the end, Mr. Luo was a very happy man. And so, I think, was his family!

How about these senior citizen bumper stickers?

I believe in having sex on the first date.
At my age, there may not be a second one.

Senior Campbells -
New large type alphabet soup.

The secret of staying young is to live honestly...
eat slowly, and lie about your age.

Quit worrying about your health...
it'll go away.

God's waiting room.

Be nice to your children.
They will choose your nursing home.

I must be getting older...
All the names in my phone book end with M.D.

You don't need a truck...

...not if you have a moped!

You can carry chickens...
and you can carry ducks...

You can carry eggs,
and not just one or two.

Want to do some metalwork?
You don't need a truck

You can transport pipes.

And tires.

You can take your wife to market,
and the inventory too!

Mirrors aren't a problem..
no need for fancy racks.

And if you've got some plastic jugs, just tie them on the back.

Everyone can come along
there's always room for more.

Heck, why not give your sheep a ride?

An Undersea Restaurant

These are photographs of Ithaa, the unique undersea restaurant that opened at the Hilton Maldives Resort & Spa Rangali Island in April 2005.

The following pictures show it being lowered into the water.

Ithaa means "pearl" in the local Dhivehi language.

It is a tiny restaurant, with seating for only 12 people.

It offers diners a "spectacular underwater view of colorful fish, sharks and other sea life in the surrounding coral reefs through curved, transparent acrylic walls.

The cost per person for dinner ranges from $187 to $220.

Build it and they will come.

A young couple in Alaska built this playground in their back yard for their children. The next morning, when they looked out the window, this is what they saw...

Bears - they know how to have fun!

Antique Lunch Boxes

Parents 100 years ago often gave their schoolchildren an empty tobacco or coffee tin to carry some fresh-picked strawberries and bread, a wedge of cheese, and possibly a handful of shelled hickory nuts.

American industrial workers have often carried their lunch in plain metal buckets. Since the mid-19th century, miners, factory workers, dock hands, and other laborers have used sturdy dinner pails to hold hard-boiled eggs, vegetables, meat, coffee, pie, and other hardy fare. Here is a collection of antique lunch boxes.

This one looks like an old time beverage container. Cool huh?
